David City art museum seeks 150 submissions for exhibition commemorating Nebraska statehood

Posted by the Omaha World Herald

The Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art is accepting artist submissions until Feb. 25 for the exhibition “150 Artists, 150 Artworks, 150 Years of Nebraska in Miniature.”

The original deadline was Feb. 1, but the museum did not reach its goal of 150 artists.

Artists are invited to submit one piece of artwork that relates to the land. All artist mediums and skill levels are encouraged, including high school and collegiate artists. Submissions can be made at bonecreek.org.

The Nebraska Sesquicentennial Commission has endorsed the project as a Signature Event of the 2017 Sesquicentennial.

The exhibition will run at Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art in David City from May 3 through July 30. The artworks will be for sale, and a portion of the proceeds will support the work of the museum. An online version of the exhibition will also be available.
