Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14, 2013 Bone Creek hosted a Plein Air artist workshop. Acclaimed painters Michael Bingham, of Salt Lake City, and Michael Albrechtsen, of Kansas City, were the instructors for the weekend. The itinerary included painting sessions in various outdoor locations around Butler County followed by a reception at the museum.
Events continued May 25 with a Memorial Day weekend reception. Barb O’Connell won the museum’s first raffle and received a painting entitled “A Team” donated to Bone Creek by Michael Bingham.
Five poets read their work at an outdoor Art and Poetry event August 17 held in the museum’s Marvin Gardens.
