Bone Creek received two awards on Wednesday, Oct. 2 from the Mountain Plains Museums Association.
MPMA, which held their annual conference in Lincoln, NE this year, granted two awards to Bone Creek for organizations with annual budgets under $250,000. The museum was recognized for the work of Director Carol Ann Kobza for its Online Presence. This was under the category of the Technology Awards. Kobza has enhanced the visibility and interaction of the museum with patrons online through social media and bonecreek.org.
Bone Creek also was awarded its third consecutive Design Publication award for the exhibition gallery guide for “Doug Johnson:Landscapes” held in 2012. Curator Amanda Mobley Guenther was the author and designer of this publication.
Guenther and founding board member Anna Nolan accepted the awards at the banquet on Wednesday night.
