​Raku Firing Workshop

Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art and the Columbus Arts Council have partnered to present:

Raku Firing Workshop

The workshop will be held on Saturday, July 8, from 8:00AM (kiln set up)-approximately 3:00PM at St. Luke’s Methodist Church (620 D Street) in David City. Mike Arnold, an art teacher at Papillion-LaVista South high school and artist in “150 for Nebraska’s 150th”, will lead participants through raku glazing techniques as well as raku kiln set-up and firing processes. Cost is $50 per participant. Participants need to bring at least two bisque-fired ceramic pieces, larger than an “open hand” but no larger than 12″x12″, made of raku clay. Participants must be at least 16 years old to register.
